Multimode Inverter Control Strategy for LVRT and HVRT Capability Achieving Excellent Wind Turbine Performance

Wind turbine power generation is becoming more popular worldwide, but voltage variations across the grid pose a problem. During these variations, wind turbine performance may decline below specifications due to under-voltage or over-voltage conditions. Low Voltage Ride Through (LVRT) refers to the under-voltage capability of Wind Energy Conversion Systems (WECS), while High Voltage Ride Through (HVRT) refers to the over-voltage or high-voltage capability of WECS. In order to achieve excellent wind turbine performance, a multimode inverter control strategy for both LVRT and HVRT capability is necessary.
