TheMCP1612isanidealchoiceforsuchadesign.

SinceboththeswitchingandsynchronousMOSFETs

areinternalandswitchingis1.4MHz,theinductor,

inputandoutputcapacitorsizeisminimized.The

outputvoltageissetbyusingasimpleresistordivider,

withahigh-bandwidthloopbeingaccomplishedbya

seriesresistorcapacitortoground.Efficienciesof90%

andatypicalshutdowncurrentof0.01µAhelpto

extendbatterylife.
